I often clip examples of color combinations from magazines, catalogs and newspaper inserts. They’re often cut out of pictures of clothing, accessories, or home furnishings.
The color arrangement for today’s new ripple was inspired by this little piece of a photo. I think its showing a beach towel peaking out of a striped tote. The objects in the photograph aren’t important though, because I’m only interested in the colors, and, in this particular example, the widths of the stripes.
I’m interpreting the narrow blue and white stripes on the tote as single rows in my afghan and the wider green stripes will be three rows wide. I made another change by using navy instead of black.
