Flowers, Flowers, Everywhere!

I’m nearing the end of “leafing out” my one hundred and fifty little flowers! It’s been fun watching my granny garden get bigger and bigger as I crocheted leaves on more and more blossoms.

It’s hard to remember that they started as a mess of scrappy balls of yarn!

  1. I can’t wait! I can’t wait! Hurry! Hurry! Surely you’re keeping this one?

  2. I think it’s the colors of the flowers. They’re soft and don’t shout. And they’re a lovely counterpoint to the dark green. It’s just one of those intangible things that you either like it or you don’t.

Thank you for explaining! I wanted to “see” what you’re “seeing” when you look at my Flower Garden. 🙂

I get what you’re saying. Most of the blossoms are very soft pastels, but the dark green surrounding them intensifies their colors. If, instead, I’d use Bright Colors, they probably would’ve have become garish-looking.

It’s going to be interesting to see if those little spots of color are going to be enough once I add two light green rounds.
