I have finally gotten around to using this pretty yarn combo, which I put together last August on the day Lisa’s Big box of yarn arrived.
The RHSS ‘Amethyst’ and ‘Real Teal’ that she sent me beautifully match the variegated, a long time resident of my charity stash.
I just added a little of Vanna’s Choice ‘Wild Berry’ (also from Lisa) and some black to make . . .
Northern Lights
Very pretty, IMHO, but not very accurate – see the yarn photo above for real colors.
I have enough of the variegated left to accent one or two more ripples! cool.
A stunner even without the colors being true. Snow and overcast really does a number on changing the color tone. You did good.
Thank You, Ann!
“You did good.” I must give DH full credit, as he’s the color-correction wizard. The colors in the close-up were barely recognizable before he played with it.
Instead of the Northern Light, I think of fine wine!
I don’t know much about fine wine, but the ‘Wild Berry’ yarn is definitely a beautiful shade of deep red!
I have a blanket in this color scheme too!! 🙂 I actually had a question for you. Are you low on any particular color right now?
Our ‘twin’ blankets are proof that great minds think alike! lol
re: current color needs – I’m not sure.
I haven’t integrated last Friday’s yarn into the charity stash yet and another box arrived today! I’ll get back to you with an answer ASAP.
