This week’s ripple was inspired by a tiny two-inch advertisement photo for a woman’s striped top.
After making a few, actually several, design adjustments for the yarn colors and amounts in my charity stash, a process that I’ve become quite familiar with, I finally got to start crocheting. Yay!!
The warm humid weather made crocheting a blanket more and more uncomfortable as it grew longer and longer, but I was egged on by the repeating stripe pattern…
two aqua, then a purple… aaand then… three more teal, etc.
until ta-dah!, there it was…
A Ripple that Matches… or at least resembles… somebody’s top! lol.
11,554 stitches – 1,154,835 donated since Jan. 2011
The darker pink and purple are RHSS Light Raspberry and Lavender. All the other yarns were without labels.
What great inspiration to take ideas from pictures you come across! Another great blanket!
Finally, a use for catalogs and newspaper flyers! lol.
A few snip-snips is all it takes to start your own ‘color-combo collection’. 🙂
And Thank You – I’m especially pleased with this one!
What a beauty! Love, love the colors! I think this color combination is great for making a baby blanket, especially if one doesn’t know yet if it’s for boy or girl. =)
Thank You! Thank You! – I think this is a special color combination too!!
Fabulous – just love it!! Thanks for sharing the creative journey with us 🙂
And thank You for coming along for the ride!
