Gorgeous!
I’m sad that it’s taken me this long to get around to posting about the yarn my newest fairy, X, who wants to remain anonymous, sent weeks ago. I delayed even opening the box until we had finished painting our … Continue reading
Crunchy Blueberries
This summer I experimented with dehydrating blueberries. I had read that, because they have a natural “waxy” coating, blueberries need to be cut in half before drying, so I picked out the biggest from the day’s picking and carefully cut … Continue reading
BUG Update – no photos
A few days after I wrote that post about the Glorious Bugs on our blueberry bush, I noticed that one of the caterpillars had disappeared and the remaining one’s red ‘antlers’ looked like someone had nibbled on them! Now he’s … Continue reading
Glorious BUGS
That title is meant as warning for those of you that wouldn’t like to be surprised by a photo of an insect. I hope that you will take at least a little peek – I start out with a couple … Continue reading
A Garden Report and #31
Everything grows so quickly this time of year! Veggie-wise, the snow pea harvest has passed, but now we’re enjoying fresh green beans. And I just picked the first of what I hope will be many, many tender little yellow squash. … Continue reading

Peaches!!
DH got out the ladder and picked some of the ripe peaches high in the older of our two peach trees on Saturday, well as ‘high’ as he could get in a dwarf tree that is. lol. I soon as … Continue reading
It Won’t Be Long Now
So far we’ve only been bringing in windfall peaches to ripen and eat fresh, but it won’t be long before they’ll be ripening on the trees and then I’ll be busy, busy, busy preparing peaches for our freezer! slurp. I … Continue reading

The Peak?
I won’t know for sure until I compare today’s harvest to how many red raspberries I get the next time I pick, but when I see clusters like this. . . and easily fill eight pints. . . I suspect … Continue reading
